Lifetime Benefit Solutions Takes on the Corporate Challenge

By Lisa Maresca

The ground was wet and the air was humid but nearly 8,000 runners and walkers from 278 companies came out to participate in the 33rd Annual J.P. Morgan Challenge at Onondaga Lake Park in Syracuse. Ten of those participants were from Lifetime Benefit Solutions.

Lisa Maresca was the top finisher for the company, running the 3.5 mile race in 29:46. Team Captain Leticia Ferri finished with a time of 39:58 and motivated the team throughout the run/walk.

“The Corporate Challenge is not about being the fastest runner; it’s about team camaraderie and cheering on your coworkers,” said Ferri.  “It also gives us a chance to meet our coworkers in other departments who we otherwise don’t get a chance to interact with very often.”

Lifetime Benefit Solutions shared a tent with the larger Excellus BlueCross BlueShield team and enjoyed barbeque after the race from Liverpool staple, Limp Lizard.

J.P. Morgan made a donation on behalf of all Corporate Challenge participants to Honor Flight Syracuse, which transports veterans from World War II and beyond to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.

Also on the Lifetime Benefit Solutions team were Jeannette Flowers, Melissa Dice, Donna McLoud, Dawn Capria, Sue Swan, CJ Graham, Jeannie Comins and Terri Mullett.  Congratulations to all!
